Working with so many clients over the years there is one thing that I am continually saying…”the scales lie. Don’t weigh yourself, we’ll do that when we need to, if you have an addiction pass your scales in.” We at HH call it “scales anonymous”. I seriously have a collection in my office.
I know people who weigh themselves daily, sometimes multiple times during the day. Sometimes before they do a wee and then after…it becomes the single most important monitor of mood!
If this is you, I know it’s doing your head in!
At HH when we work on body transformations with our Metabolic Precision program. We are focusing on building lean muscle and reducing body fat. MP trainers are artists in helping you craft a new body – not giving you a flabby version of your former self.
So, just imagine if you had been working hard on a 12 week transformation and you did not lose a single kilo, not even half a kilo, not any, zilch…would you be happy? This was the scenario for Mel Kelly who has just completed her 12 week body transformation at HH.
Mel knew things were changing, her jeans sizes were going down, her belt buckle had come in a couple of notches, her work clothes were much loser…but she hadn’t lost any weight on the scales.
Mel knew she was feeling better, she had more energy and was coping much better with her hectic schedule…but she hadn’t lost any weight on the scales.
Mel’s back pain, which has been an ongoing issue for many years was not causing her grief…but she hadn’t lost any weight on the scales.
Mel was getting compliments from others and her masseuse could not believe the changes in her body by only doing 3 x FIRE (focussed, intense, resistance, exercise) sessions a week (that equates to approx. 1.5 hours of exercise a week)…but she hadn’t lost any weight on the scales.
Mel completed her fitness tests at the end of her 12 week program – she could do a chin up for the first time, an extra 12 push ups and she doubled her leg strength test…but she hadn’t lost any weight on the scales.
Mel had her girth measurements completed and she had lost centimetres from all over her body…but she hadn’t lost any weight on the scales.
Mel did her skin fold tests and her body fat had decreased all over her body dramatically…but she hadn’t lost any weight on the scales.
Her trainer calculated her lean muscle and it had increased just like experts in body transformations know it should…but still, she hadn’t lost any weight on the scales.
When I put Mel’s before and after photos together I couldn’t wait to share these with her. After 12 weeks, weighing 68.6kgs (the same weight as when she started) Mel could finally see what everyone else could…her body is transforming!
May 2014 – August 2014
Mel agreed to share these pictures to help people just like you start on the road to transformation.
HH is so proud of you Mel! Cant wait to see what the next 12 weeks brings!
If you are truly motivated and committed to transforming your body HH is starting the next challenge in September. You could be our next inspirational story!
